Made some changes to the back yard since I retired. A table with an umbrella and chairs, and a gas Bar-b-que grill. Russell and I love the grill. So much easier than charcoal. We had burgers tonight, but we've also had steaks and chicken and pork chops. Russell even cooks on it.
Today we did a project I've been procrastinating for 5 years. I have a retaining wall with a narrow strip of ground between it and the fence. I've always wanted to put ground cover up there, but thought it would be a lot of work. Russell volunteered to help, and it took less than an hour (shopping time not included). 54 plants. They should spread out over the summer.

Now that I'm a lady of leisure, I had time to check out the new Aldi. Very bare bones, but good prices. I tried a few things, and probably will go back. Interestingly, I started to make a grocery price book and was going through receipts from March. A friend had posted some prices, and I'd noticed that eggs and milk were much cheaper at Aldi. However, from my receipts, I noticed Wal-mart has now dropped prices on milk and eggs and some other things to pretty much match Aldi.
And after the retirement party, I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. Nassau, Coco Cay (a private beach), and Key West. We flew to Miami, and then cruised from there on Royal Caribbean. Ate at Hard Rock in Nassau, and got a t-shirt. LOL. We wanted to eat at Margaritaville in Key West, but it was a two hour wait.
The big news is that I retired. I had the option to get out early, so I did. It's been a busy month. The official retirement party was March 18. Plus I had several goodbye lunches with friends, and a couple of Happy Hours It's only been a few days, but I'm more relaxed already.
