Genealogy Photo Identification

This was in the family photos I inherited when my Dad passed away. The man on the right is his father, Raymond R. McDonald. Raymond was an interesting character, married 3 times (that I've found) before he married my grandmother, Grace Marie Thompson, which seemed to last. The three other wives were Carrie Poling (passed away), Dessie Burns (divorced), and Virginia (Monk) Bland (don't know). One of my relatives who knew Carrie Poling said neither of these women are her, so I'm guessing the younger one is probably Dessie Burns or Virgina (Monk) Bland. This was in West Virginia in the 1911-1926 timeframe.

This and that

I haven't posted in ages. In late August/September, I thought I might want to be a professional genealogist when I retired. I went to the FGS (Genealogy) conference in September and a small business class in November. But what is really keeping me busy is an online genealogical certificate course at Boston University. I'm learning a lot. Including that I think I'm going to keep genealogy as a hobby rather than a profession. But I will be a more educated hobbiest.

Also did a little painting around the house. I'd re-arranged furniture (again) and didn't like how my accent walls went with the re-arranged furniture.

Not positive, but think I'm going on a cruise to the Bahamas in March sometime.

And I'm still scrapbooking some. Just signed up for an online class at Big Picture Scrapbooking on Design. I'm behind on it as well.

I am going to try to post more often.
